Dr Richard Boyle

Dr Richard Boyle graduated with Honours in Medicine from the University of NSW and completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney. Dr Boyle was inspired by leading orthopaedic oncologist, Dr Paul Stalley, to train in this specialty. He undertook further training in Toronto, Basel and Vienna. Dr Boyle gains great professional satisfaction from the collaborative, evidence-based approach of orthopaedic oncology practised in the RPA-Lifehouse Sarcoma Unit MDT.

Dr Richard Boyle is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS – Orth) and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOA). Dr Boyle is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association (ANZSA) and the International Society of Limb Salvage. He is the Medical Director of the NSW Bone Bank. Dr Boyle is a supervisor of training at Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital and a clinical lecturer at the Australian School of Advanced Medicine at Macquarie University. He was Chair of AOA Northside Board of Studies 2012-2017.

Dr Boyle is actively engaged in training, governance and clinical trials in both areas of practice. Participation in clinical trials includes research conducted by Chris O’Brien LifehouseAustralia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association and Australian Orthopaedic Association.
